When you get a new coil you will need pins to hold the element to
the fire brick. These may be supplied by the place where you get
the element. The most critical part of replacing an element is
making good contact between the coil and control wiring. If you
can't find good crimp fittings you should try a ceramic shop. They
have coils and the necessary fittings to complete the job. They
also have ceramic blocks which can be uset to raise the flasks to
provide better burnout. One suggestion. Do not place very tall
flasks near the coils. The flasks will trap the heat from the coil
and may cause the coil to fail. Place the taller flasks in the
    center of the kiln. Lee
