    T.S. Buchanan, in or around Charlotte, NC.  704-568-3737. 

    He's the dad of a former coworker of mine, and has been a
    professional engraver forever. Over ten years ago I saw a ring
    engraved with a face in profile. It was so minute you really had to
    use a loupe to appreciate the detail! I've spoken with him briefly in
    the recent past, and he was very receptive to taking on custom work.
    Probably quite reasonable compared with some of the more well known
    engravers, although I haven't asked. Standard disclaimer: I have
    never had any work done by him, but have seen his work.
