How to plate a cooper piece with silver

Hi, everybody, I need your help, I want to electroplate a cooper
jewelry piece with silver, but I don’t know the procedure for that.
Does any body know something abut. I need to know if the
electrolitical solution can be made at home. Please excuse my
english. Sincerely yours: DENIS.

Hi Denis: You can buy a premixed silver solution from in 1 pint
container from “Hagstogs and sons” Phila. 215-922-1627.

After that all you need is a DC power source and a piece of silver.
A rectifier is a good DC power supply but you can use a battery
charger (as cheap as $20.00) in any auto store.

Put the solution in a glass or plastic container. Connect the piece
of silver to the positive side and the piece you want plated to the
negative side, and your silver plating.

If you need more look at our web site

Sure can, that is kind of a normal process. You can use a little
nickel underneath or you can just use the silver over the copper. If
you are just planning to do a small piece or just a few pieces then
get a solution already made up, if you have an enormous amount to do
then you could consider mixing your own. Let me know if you would
like to join an electroplating group, or need info on a couple of
suppliers for made up solutions at a reasonable price Clint D
