Jill, The rough nugget type beads usually have a larger hole. I have
a few suggestions, double or triple the elastic cord string bugle
beads that fit inside the nugget hole so they keep the sharp nugget
from fraying the elastic cord laboriously file the ends of the nugget
holes smooth to prevent cutting through the elastic convince the
customer to allow you to string it on foxtail or similar and use a
    toggle clasp.
