    I want to thank everyone who took the trouble to write about this. I
    am well aware that Moissanite is doubly refractive, and know how to
    look for that. 

    I am a  G.G. (since 1972) and between my partner and myself, we have
    almost 50years experience in this trade. I am reasonably sure that I
    can ALWAYS spot a "non-diamond" but I want the gadget to backup to my
    experience, so I STILL plan to buy one. Using one is a whole lot less
    grief than making a mistake would be. David Barzilay, Lord of the
