    You might consider trying a low melting temperature bismuth alloy.
    Melts with 158=B0 F hot water. Have to be careful about the fact that
    it is a lead alloy, Its slight expansion upon  solidification make it
    very usefull stuff for holding fixtures and tube bending.  One source
