    I've been using one of these for over 10 yrs. Most of the time I use
    this torch (a Blazer) it's with paste solder to solder links in
    chains. 

    These torches work well as long as the item being soldered is not
    too large. With the relatively small flame they produce, they don't
    provide a large enough amount of heat (BTU's/min.) for large pieces.
