When fabricating a piece of jewelry for pearls, used an old screw
post earring post for the pearl stud. The threads will serve as

Another great idea for pearl posts is to take square gold wire and
twist it using a writing-pin style vise grips (sold through Rio). It
gives you the ability to make the post any length and gauge
especially when the hole is pre-drilled. Rebecca.

Another great idea for pearl posts is to take square gold wire and twist it using a writing-pin style vise grips (sold through Rio).
There’s really nod need to use a vise grips. A pin vise or regular
pliers works just as well. Clamp one end of the wire in a vise &
grasp the other end in your tool of choice, pull & twist.
