Collaboration with glass bead artist Kristen Frantzen Orr has been a rewarding endeavor. Learning to integrate flameworked glass beads in my work while maintaining the visions of two different artists has broadened my approach to design and engineering.

Some of our earliest pieces used ancient Roman glass shards in conjunction with Kristen’s modern glass beads, an unexpected and evocative reference. These early collaborations (one of a kind pieces) eventually led us to the development of two distinct jewelry lines featuring her beads and my metalwork. The “Textures” series is presented in this gallery.
