CTD 429 (55A):  Rhino for the CAD Novice

Rhinoceros is one of the foremost applications used in the Jewelry and other
industries for the creation of 3D models for prototyping as well as for the
creation of mechanical drawings and layouts.
This course is designed for those who are new to the Computer Aided Design
(CAD) experience.  Students will be introduced to the environment of
Computer Aided Design and will be better able to decide whether they feel
ready to move on to the regular Rhino courses or whether they feel the need
for further experience with the computer and less demanding computer
graphics applications.

CTC-432:   Rhino III:

In this course we will continue to focus on the creation of 3-D surfaces and
solids. Students will continue to learn further the creation, manipulation
and editing of 3-D objects for the making of 3-D models. Class exercises
will include jewelry related material.

CTD 434:   3D Rendering with Rhino/Flamingo

This course concentrates on the rendering and presentation of digital,
three-dimensional designs using Rhino and its plug-in, Flamingo a
photo-realistic renderer useful for any and all design
visualization/presentations. Three-dimensional objects will be provided or
created in class. Students are encouraged to bring digital designs/models
they have created to class. For students interested in jewelry design, Tech
Gems software will be utilized. 
Prerequisites: CTD 430, CTD 431, and CTD 432
