Michael David Sturlin

I am a goldsmith working in precious materials using basic tools and traditional fabrication techniques.

My design aesthetic is minimalist. My studio approach is minimalist as well.

I prefer to work as directly as possible in the transformation of raw material into finished object. My philosophical perspective is that skill with tool and fluency with material are the fundamental catalyst for creative expression.

In addition to maintaining a studio practice I present workshops and classes on applied technique and professional development.
