Adornment is often the outward expression of that thin space between the realities that we live and the realities that we invent This most recent work represents an exploration into themes of communication. Specifically, I want to re create that intangible, brief kind of dialogue that can only be understood through participation, either direct or voyeuristic. Sometimes the conversation is between the body and an ornament Sometimes between lovers who have never met. Sometimes the conversation is between one page and the next or perhaps the way two spoons nest together. Sometimes it is a prayer or a gesture. But the conversation is always closed, mostly unseen, always unspoken. It is the dynamic that ceases to exist when exposed or spoken about.
